Power Play

This past 4th of July weekend, Ryan and I did not light any fireworks. (The kids are too young, we're in a drought, they're dangerous and loud, why do Americans do this anyway?)

Instead, we spent several hours (one of us more than the other) mapping out all things electric in our new house. You could say it was a powerful experience.

Check out all those lights, and that's just a sample. Ryan drew all the fancy symbols.

At the bottom of the above picture, you can see part of the legend that explains what all those symbols mean. I think Ryan may have had it memorized.

It's fun putting all of these pieces together before the real work begins. At the moment, we're wading through the permit process. Wading and waiting. Which explains why there isn't a ton of content yet for this blog. But in the meantime, I'll try to write about some of the small stuff. And in the grand scheme of things, this isn't all that small. Because, after all, lighting is everything.
